“My husband and I stayed at Sharyn’s Maui vacation rental in Huelo for our honeymoon. The house we rented, Rainbow, was completely private and secluded, including the outdoor hot tub and shower. The proprietors were very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about the area. The price is just a bit more than what you might pay to stay in a hotel in the area, but instead of just a room to sleep in, we had a two-story, two bathroom hide-away all to ourselves, overlooking the ocean. Instead of waking each morning to the sounds of strangers talking in the room next to us, we awoke to the crowing of roosters in this country setting. Yet Huelo Point is just 20 minutes from a town (Paia) with grocery stores, restaurants, shopping, and the island itself is small enough that as long as you have a rental car, you can take a day trip to almost any part of the island. The pictures posted on the property’s website are accurate as to how the actual accommodations and surrounding area appear. We have already recommended Huelo Point to friends who are recently engaged, and would not hesitate to return again if visiting Maui in the future.
